Ozempic pen guide: doses, the dose counter, and clicks

How Ozempic pens work: which doses each pen gives, how many doses a pen holds, what the dose counter shows, and why the label says never to count clicks.

A guide to Ozempic (semaglutide) pens based on the prescribing information and Instructions for Use. Each multi-dose pen gives only its labeled doses: the 2 mg pen gives 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg (4 doses of 0.25 mg and 2 of 0.5 mg, or 4 doses of 0.5 mg), the 4 mg pen gives four 1 mg doses, and the 8 mg pen gives four 2 mg doses. Ozempic also comes as single-dose prefilled syringes. The dose is set by turning the selector until the dose counter shows it and lines up with the pointer; the Instructions for Use say not to set a dose by counting clicks. GLPeak does not publish an Ozempic click chart and does not support partial or in-between doses. The page covers the flow check for each new pen, how to see what is left, storage (56 days after first use), missed doses (within 5 days) and when to get help.
