Foundayo Dose Schedule

Foundayo (orforglipron) dose schedule: 0.8 mg daily, then 2.5 mg and 5.5 mg at 30-day steps, with 9, 14.5 or 17.2 mg after that. No food or water timing rules.

Foundayo (orforglipron) dose schedule from the U.S. prescribing information. Foundayo, approved by the FDA in April 2026, is a once-daily non-peptide GLP-1 pill for adults with obesity, or overweight with a weight-related condition. It starts at 0.8 mg daily, then increases to 2.5 mg and 5.5 mg with at least 30 days at each dose; after that the prescriber may raise it to 9 mg, 14.5 mg or the 17.2 mg maximum. The maximum is 9 mg with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors. It can be taken any time of day, with or without food. A missed dose is taken as soon as possible without doubling; after 7 or more missed days in a row, dose escalation restarts at a lower dose. People using birth-control pills should use a non-oral or backup method for 30 days after starting and after each increase. In the 72-week trial, average weight loss was 11.1% at 17.2 mg versus 2.1% on placebo.
